An interesting model of our solar system’s path as it travels through space in the Milky Way.

Certainly a departure from usual models that show the Sun as a static object, which it certainly isn’t

Around the center of the Milky Way, which is heading towards the Andromeda Galaxy.  And our whole Local Group is moving towards the Virgo Cluster.

But we’ll never actually reach the Virgo Cluster because space is expanding between us and them faster than we’re moving towards it.

Dawkins needs to get over himself

Bam. Dawkins is a jerk.

How can anybody be that hostile to Bill Nye. Look at him. It’s like Bill Nye’s innate goodness and love for humanity and science is repelling him.

I’m just glad I’m not alone on that.

I know everyone seems to think Richard Dawkins is always super duper angry about everything, but really I think he just has an unfortunate resting-face. Like, why would he be hostile to Bill Nye?

Has anyone actually seen the video this is from? I haven’t found it, but I sincerely doubt Dawkins said anything against women scientists.

Yes, someone please link me to this video. I don’t know the context for this. I think Dawkins just spends a lot of his free time stewing over the American education system and it shows.

Here is the video on the time where he says this. This was after an hour and a half lecture and almost at the end of a 45 minute Q&A, so I’d think everybody would be tired, plus, Nye, apologetically cuts off Dawkins to give that speech. So This entire time Dawkins was thinking about what he’s going to say next. I recommend watching parts 1 and 2, the video has EVERYBODY!!!
